Hayley Morris

Principal of Synergy Dance Training Academy & Studio Owner

Hayley started her dance journey at the age of 5, whilst training in classical styles such as Ballet, Tap and Modern through the National Association of Teachers In dance (NATD) examining board, it was through the exposure of these styles she decided to branch out and start training in Acrobatics, contemporary, jazz, lyrical and freestyle. After continuing her training through college Hayley decided that she wanted to continue her passion for dance and performing and pass that on to the next generation of dancers and pursue teaching.

Whilst Hayley was completing her BA Honours in dance at the university of Wolverhampton she decided to open “ Synergy Dance Training Academy” which at the time was based in the Dudley/ Bilston area. Throughout the past 10 years Hayley has obtained her full teacher status through the NATD for modern, Associate status in freestyle through the International dance teachers association (IDTA) and is scheduled to complete her teachers status is NATD ballet and tap in the next 5 years. Hayley specialises in teaching Acro , after teaching gymnastics for 2 years at a local leisure she decided to gain acrobatics teacher status through ACROTRIX. Hayley also has a strong passion for educating on the health benefits both physical and psychological of dance and has also gained her exercise to music qualification.

Hayley has performed around the UK on major stages such a Birmingham Hippodrome, performed live for the BBC for the televised olympic Handover ceremony broadcasted globally and also worked as a showgirl performer. Her main aim as principal of Synergy DTA is to give her students the opportunity to perform, compete and to progress their dance career and create a dance family where each student is valued and applauded for their success’s.

Lydia Whitehouse

Assistant Acro Teacher

Lydia started her dance journey at the age of 3, she trained in the following styles ballet tap and modern through the NATD syllabus. Lydia is currently working towards her full teacher status in modern through the NATD syllabus and has also gained acro assistant status through ACROTRIX. Lydia is also a senior member of Synergy Dance training academy competition team , and has performed around the uk at some of the biggest stages such as Blackpool Winter gardens and the Birmingham Hippodrome. Lydia and her peers also recently competed and placed 2nd in the regional semi finals of the biggest dance competition in the UK Dance challenge. Lydia has recently completed her foundation Degree In early studies and has a passion for teaching and a flare for inspiring synergy’s younger students.
